Steamroller 2013

Steamroller 2013 Rules

In Steamroller 2013 tournaments, players face off in a series of games and pit their skills against a gauntlet of opponents to determine who will emerge victorious. Steamroller is ideal for groups of 8 to 128 players and promotes fast and furious play while stressing the ability to adapt to a variety of scenarios.

The SR 2013 rumours were pretty close and here are the 12 new (and old) scenarios:

  1. Destruction: center zone (12”x6”) with 4 (four!) objectives (Monolith) at its corners, Kill Box, 1 CP per destroyed objective, 1 CP for zone control (2 CPs if dominated), 5 CPs to win
  2. Supply and Demand: center zone (12” circle), Kill Box, 2 objectives (Supply Cache), 1 CP for destroyed objective (2 CPs if dominated), 1 CP for zone control (2 CPs if dominated), 5 CPs to win

  5. Incursion: 3 centered flags (one removed after turn one), 1 CP for flag control (2 CPs if dominated), 5 CPs to win
  6. Chemical Reaction: 2 12”x6” zones, 2 objectives (Alchemical Device), 1 CP for destroyed enemy objective, 1 CP for domination of friendly zone, 2 CPs for enemy zone control (3 CPs if dominated), 5 CPs to win
  7. Outflank: 2 12” circle zones, 1 CP for zone control (2 CPs if dominated)

Hardcore 2013 Rules

In Hardcore 2013 tournaments, players face off in a series of games to test their mettle in an unforgiving environment. Insanely fast time limits, detailed painting requirements, and only one army list make this a format for experienced players who want to push the limits of their endurance and skill. Multiple awards also provide players with opportunities to claim victory even if they aren’t undefeated when the smoke clears.

One scenario only of course: Death Match, 12”x12” center zone.

Masters 2013 Rules

In Masters 2013 tournaments, players face off to prove that they are a master of their WARMACHINE or HORDES faction. In this format players bring multiple lists of their chosen faction, and battle over six carefully selected scenarios in a series of matches. These scenarios provide the arena with which to test a player’s knowledge, skill, and ability to adapt. Masters is ideal for convention level competitive play with groups of thirty-two or more players.

For whatever reason, PP takes only 6 of the 12 Steamroller scenarios to the coming Masters!?

  1. Destruction
  2. Close Quarters
  3. Incursion
  4. Outflank
  5. Into the Breach
  6. Process of Elimination
